PatchWizard Version Changes

NOTE: This only applies to users of Windows XP/2000 - I have received a number of messages from users who have spotted certain "peculiarities" centered around receiving MIDI messages. I have set up a test system with a clean installation of Windows 2000 Professional, and have also observed the same. So far, and almost without exception however, I have obtained updated MIDI Device Drivers for Windows 2000 from the websites of the respective MIDI Interface manufacturers, installed them, and these "peculiarities" simply go away. If you are having problems, I recommend that you adopt the same approach, but please feel free to let me know if your problems persist!

Version 1.49 - Version 1.49 has added support for timing issues when dealing with the Fender Cyber-Twin. I have also added support for the Line 6 AxSys 212. The AxSys 212 support will be totally complete when I have refactored the conversion of POD, or AX2 Patches - for now, every other feature should work just fine...

Version 1.30 - A couple of minor "Glitches" from version 1.24 fixed - Beta support for Fender Cyber-Twin added. Eval period for Editors have been reset & refreshed, and evaluation period is now 30 days

Version 1.24 - More "wish list" items from users implemented. Patch List printing, multiple LIB Importing... Has now been tested with Windows 2000 ( *see above* ) , and Windows Me. Next up is Bass POD Pro support, then full steam ahead for the much enhanced Version 2.0

Version 1.23 - Various "wish list" items from users implemented. Slight AX2 Editor "Resource Leak" which could result in disappearance of AX2 Knobs fixed. All Window Sizes/Positions/Contents "remembered" between sessions (This feature can be optionally disabled). Recent Files list added for easy  access from File Menu.

Version 1.21 - Oops! Apologies to all who have already downloaded  Version 1.20 - A bug was reported in which PatchWizard would crash upon an  attempt to File/Print a Library Window  item if no items were hilited/selected - Now Fixed.

Version 1.20 - Memory Contents & Window Positions/Sizes saved  between sessions, some POD Editor Display updates corrected.

Version 1.10 - Bass POD Editor introduced - other minor overall  enhancements implemented.

Version 1.05 - A couple more minor display update omissions fixed on POD Editor. Help File fuller

Version 1.01 - A couple of minor display glitches fixed on POD Editor, Global Wah Button revealed!  Print and Text file Export of POD Patch Parameters implemented. New Registration procedure.

Version 1.00 - POD Editor fully functional. Several overall  enhancements & tweaks to AX2 section.

Version 0.97 - Added Text File (.txt) Export of AX2 Patch  Parameters. More done on the Help file.

Version 0.96 - More done on the Help file, better "Sync" on  Unregistered version "Virtual" Buffer for Editor Panel

Version 0.95 - A little more done on the Help file, some more MIDI startup options. Clearer message about Unregistered version....

Version 0.90 - The FULL Version - the reason that it is not yet  version 1.0 is that I have not yet finished the "Help" file, but I will do that within the next few hours and additionally post it here as a separate download  for those who have already downloaded the full package.  I will also Email it to anyone who requests it.

Version 0.50 - Fixes and enhancements too numerous to describe in  detail - New features are:
POD 2.0, POD Pro, Flextone2 new Amplifier Models supported for conversion to AX2 format.
MIDI - Autoscans multiple MIDI In/Out  Ports and identifies all current Line 6 MIDI units.
Librarian - Will import  SoundDiver LIB files and allow the storage of any imported or converted (POD->AX2Patch) into a PatchWizard ".PWL" Library file. Bass POD owners can  retrieve/store Patches from/to the Bass POD and perform the usual Library functions on them (renaming etc.) This version will perform such Librarian duties for ALL of Line 6 "POD family" type devices (AX2, POD, Flextone 2, POD 2.0, POD Pro.
AX2 Bulk Conversions - via the Library Copy/Paste functions, POD->AX2 type conversions can be done automatically by pasting multiple Patch  entries into the Memory Window of the AX2. These Patch entries contain the  converted AX2 Patch AND retain the fully intact POD Patch that was used as the source for the conversion.
PRINTOUT - PatchWizard will Print out the  Parameters for AX2 Patches (either converted or native) - Useful for those who have trouble with MIDI.

Version 0.12 - Fixed problem that was reported when a  POD Patch had a very slow Chorus or very Slow Flanger - in translating the range to that of the AX2, a bug caused it to "wrap around" and end up with an impossibly fast Chorus speed. BH - 04/26/2000

Version 0.11 - Fixed problem that was reported which caused crash or freeze when system had either NO MIDI Ports, or when system only has a MIDI OUT Port. PatchWizard will now continue in either case. Conversion will still work even if there is NO  Midi In. When neither is functional, PatchWizard will still work, but won't really do anything useful until the "Print" function is implemented. BH -  04/25/2000
